Gina Angeletti Pongetti is a nationally and internationally recognized Physical Therapist who received her Bachelor’s in Communication Studies and Masters in Physical Therapy from Marquette University, as well as a Masters Degree in Health Communications and Marketing from Michigan State University, while coaching their gymnastics team. A former gymnast of 14 years, Gina has a passion for treating the performing arts population.
Her specialization includes physical therapy treatment, injury differentiation and diagnosis, movement analysis, strength program creation, flexibility assessment and sport-specific biomechanics education. She focuses on manual therapy/hands on techniques in combination with in depth analysis of biomechanics and movement patterns.
Gina has worked with onsite Broadway touring theater musicals such as Hamilton, Mary Poppins National Tour, Jersey Boys Chicago, A Chorus Line - National Tour, Fiddler on the Roof - National Tour, Memphis, Shrek - National Tour, the Billy Elliott National Touring Company, Motown, and The Book of Mormon. She has also co-written the only American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved manual and course on performing arts medicine: recognized worldwide. Her work with USA Gymnastics has spanned Coaches Congress and educational seminars, serving on the Health Care Network and as staff for many elite and national events. She is one of the foremost experts on gymnastics sports medicine speaking nationally and internationally as well as treating and consulting with Olympians, World Champions and National Team members for over 20 years.
Locally, she works with many figure skating and cheerleading clubs, dance studios, gymnastics gyms, musicians, endurance sports clubs, and more while providing PT services in the Chicagoland Suburbs with Achieve Orthopedic Rehab Institute.
