Pre-Conservatory & Children’s Programming
The Pre-Conservatory & Children’s Programs offer formative dance training for ages 18 months to 11 years old that prepares students to enter the Conservatory. The Pre-Conservatory & Children’s Programs are a partnership with The Community House in Hinsdale. All classes are taught by WSBC Faculty.

Multiple class formats including ballet technique, pre-pointe, contemporary, repertoire, conditioning and creative movement.
Performance opportunities in WSBC productions.
Optional private instruction for technique and competition choreography.

Levels
Toddler & Me
Ages: 18 months - 2 years
Frequency: 1x/week
A movement-based class that develops strength, coordination, and spatial awareness with a focus on familial bonding.
Primary
Ages: 3-5 years
Frequency: 1x/week
A fun-filled class exploring the basics of dance with an emphasis on development of key motor skills and listening skills.
Pre-Conservatory I
Ages: 5-6
Frequency: 2x/week
Training emphasizes the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, vocabulary, and etiquette, while developing technical skills and coordination with correct alignment and placement.
Pre-Conservatory II
Ages: 7+
Frequency: 3x/week
Training expands upon vocabulary and technical skills from previous levels, with a greater emphasis on foot and leg strength and muscular development.
